Death Stranding release date: When is Death Stranding coming to PC after PS4?

Death Stranding has a PS4 release date set for November 2019, and the hype continues to build.

The next game from the creator of the Metal Gear series, Hideo Kojima, there’s plenty to suggest it will sell very well on the PlayStation console.

And it’s been confirmed this week that Death Stranding is no longer a PS4 exclusive but will be launching on other platforms.

Up until this point, DS has been treated like a PlayStation exclusive, with details about the game only appearing alongside heavy PlayStation marketing.

But Kojima fans have now found out that Death Stranding will be appearing on PC in the future.

WHEN IS DEATH STRANDING COMING TO PC?

It was revealed today that Death Stranding would be launching on PS4 in 2019 and PC in 2020.

505 Games will publish the PC version of Hideo Kojima’s highly-anticipated next game.

And it has also been revealed that Death Stranding will be releasing in Summer 2020.

According to the press release, the console version of the Death Stranding will exclusively be published by Sony Interactive Entertainment for PlayStation 4 with a release date of Friday, Nov. 8, 2019.

What that means for a possible Xbox One release is anyone’s guess but there’s always a chance down the road for some kind of release, like with No Man’s Sky.

Additional details about the PC release of Death Stranding will be revealed in the near future.

“We are extremely excited and honoured to be working with the supremely talented team at Kojima Productions and to bring Death Stranding to PC gamers around the world,” said 505 Games co-founder and CEO Raffi Galante.

“Death Stranding will take gamers through a completely original experience that will delight PC gamers everywhere.”

Despite numerous gameplay streams and trailers, it’s fair to say that Kojima’s new game remains something of an enigma.

When a game is this shrouded in mystery, it’s likely some PS4 owners are on the fence about whether to purchase.

The good news is that fans will have plenty of time to make up their minds about Death Stranding ahead of its November 8 release date.

In a pre-release review update, Sony has confirmed that review scores will go live on November 1.

This gives customers a week to decide whether to pick up a copy of Death Stranding at launch or wait for the sales.

It’s a departure from most blockbuster game reviews, which are increasingly held back until the day of or the day before launch.

But whatever happens with review scores, it looks like there will be plenty of interest from fans in picking up a copy and trying it for themselves.
