Windows 10 users should definitely download this vital Microsoft update right now

Windows 10 users should make sure their PCs are fully updated with Microsoft releasing a vital patch that fixes over 40 known issues.

The KB4522355 upgrade in now available for download and perhaps the biggest reason to install this software is that it mends the recent Start Menu bug.

This annoying glitch has been plaguing users for the past few weeks with many facing a warning that reads: “Your Start menu isn’t working. We’ll try to fix it the next time you sign in.”

Having promised a resolution earlier in October, Microsoft has been true to its word and with a fix now in place.

Posting a message online the US firm said the KB4522355 download “updates an issue that causes the Start menu, the Cortana Search bar, Tray icons, or Microsoft Edge to stop responding in certain scenarios after installing a monthly update.”

Some recent updates have been causing issues for users once download but the US firm says it is not currently aware of any issues with this upgrade.

The Redmond company has, however, given some advice to users before they install this latest change saying: “Microsoft strongly recommends you install the latest servicing stack update (SSU) for your operating system before installing the latest cumulative update (LCU). SSUs improve the reliability of the update process to mitigate potential issues while installing the LCU.
