Emmerdale spoilers: Super sleuth fans believe they've spotted Nate's mum – are they right?

Emmerdale fans are certain they’ve identified Nate Robinson’s (Jurell Carter) mum after the farm hand’s shocking announcement during the dramatic boat trip.

Over the past couple of episodes, viewers have watched as Nate’s affair with Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb) was exposed after Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) finally learnt the truth.

During the showdown, Nate dropped a whopping great bombshell leaving fans shocked.

Cain has a lot to process – finding out his wife is playing away with his potential son would be enough to tip someone over the edge.

But the shocking episodes left a huge cliffhanger with fans wracking their brains trying to figure out who the mystery mum could be.

But some eagle-eyed viewers believe they have sussed it out.

The ITV soap may have slipped in the first glimpse of Nate’s mum in Tuesday’s episode, as fans spotted a vital clue.

While Moira’s lovers went head-to-head on the water, viewers also saw Cain’s mum Faith Dingle (Sally Dexter) drop to the floor in shock, looking pale as a sheet when she found something unnerving in Nate’s caravan.

Fans watched as Faith frantically rifled through Nate’s draws before discovering a photo of someone she clearly recognised.

But who could it be?

But other fans took a different route, wondering if perhaps Nate’s mum has been Faith all along.

One sleuth said: “I have this strong feeling that Faith is Nate’s mum by the look on her face.”

Another commented: “I don’t think Nate is cains son, either he is faiths son or faith helped with his fake adoption and used Cain’s name and that’s how faith leaves.”

Will Nate be revealed to be Cain’s half brother in a shocking plot twist?

Whatever Faith is hiding, in true soap tradition, all will be revealed soon.

Sally confirmed her exit from Emmerdale to Metro.co.uk, so could this mean that the latter are right?

Sally dropped a clue that Nate’s true identity could be the cause of her character’s exit from the show for “a little while” and there has been no confirmation as to whether this will be a permanent exit.

But one thing is clear, we’re in for more explosive episodes before she goes anywhere.

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV.
