Zoe Kravitz has signed on to play Catwoman opposite Robert Pattinson’s Bruce Wayne in the upcoming film, The Batman.
The talented actress is going from Monterey to Gotham City, but she is not escaping the drama. Warner Brothers has confirmed Kravitz will take on the role, which has also been played by Halle Berry, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Anne Hathaway.
Kravitz is no stranger to the role or character. She previously voiced Catwoman in the 2017 film, The Lego Batman Movie. Matt Reeves, who is directing The Batman, acknowledge the casting on Twitter with a photo of the actress writing, Hello Catwoman.
The new movie will focus on the early stages of Pattinson’s Bruce Wayne, who is transforming into the famous Caped Crusader. If all goes well, Reeves plans on it being a trilogy that is “very much a point of view-driven, noir Batman tale.”

Social media appears to be on board with the new pairing, especially when it comes to Kravitz as Catwoman.

Zoe Kravitz is stepping into the role of Selina Kyle, aka Catwoman. She reportedly beat out Ana de Armas, Ella Balinska, Eiza Gonzalez, who all tested with Robert Pattinson earlier this month for the role in The Batman.
Since Kravitz’s mom, Lisa Bonet, is married to Jason Jason Momoa, who as everyone knows is Aquaman. Therefore, Aquaman is now Catwoman’s stepfather. The irony is not lost on fans, who have made several jokes regarding it on social media.
The Batman is slated to hit theaters in 2021. There has been some controversy regarding the casting of Pattinson as Batman, but it appears adding Kravitz has helped.
