Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice, her husband Joe, and their four daughters have been through hell during the past five years because of the couple’s bankruptcy fraud case. First, Teresa spent 10 months in prison in 2015, and then Joe started serving his sentence just weeks after her release. Now, after three years in prison and more than six months in ICE custody, Joe is finally out of custody and living life as a free man in Italy, and Bravo is reportedly dropping some cash to film his reunion with his family.
According to Radar Online, Teresa and her four daughters – Gia, Milania, Gabriella, and Audriana – are headed to Italy soon to reunite with Joe, and Bravo paid a significant sum to have their cameras on hand to film their meeting.
“Teresa is getting a huge paycheck to take the girls to Italy and film the reunion with Joe,” claims an insider. “She’s going the first week in November with the girls, and the RHONJ cameras too. Teresa is getting around six figures to film these extra scenes with Joe in Italy.”
Filming has actually wrapped on Season 10 of RHONJ, but there was no way the network was going to miss out on filming this emotional scene that has been years in the making. Bravo has been filming extra scenes with the Giudice and Gorga families throughout the deportation drama, according to Teresa’s brother Joe Gorga.
ICE officials finally released Joe from their custody on Friday, October 11th after a judge granted his request to wait in Italy for the decision in his deportation case.
If Joe wins his appeal, he will be allowed to return to the United States and live with his family. However, if the decision is not in his favor, he will live in his native Italy and not be allowed to return to the United States.
Joe’s mother Fiomena Giudice and his brother, Peter, greeted Joe when he arrived in Italy over the weekend, and they have prepared a home in Naples for him to live in. But, Teresa was not in Italy to greet her husband when he landed in Europe, and an insider claims the family isn’t happy about her absence.
The source says that Joe’s family is “disgusted” with Teresa, and they don’t talk with her anymore. The insider adds that they can’t believe she didn’t show up right away to see him after the trauma he’s experienced in the last few months in ICE custody, not to mention the three years he spent in prison.
The first pics of Joe have surfaced since his release, and he has noticeably slimmed down in his years behind bars. An insider says that Joe is much happier now, and his “mood has changed, too.”
