Kim Kardashian’s makeup artist Mario Dedivanovic is recalling how he was pressured to stop working with her. The revelation comes as the reality TV star is featured in E! True Hollywood Story, which premieres this Sunday.
In a preview clip for the newly revived series, Dedivanovic gets candid about the pressure put on him to ditch the KKW Beauty mogul. He first began working with Kardashian back in 2008, long before came the businesswoman she is today.
Keeping Up With The Kardashians was not nearly the fans crazed show it is today. However, the makeup artist had a feeling about Kim K., even before she became a cultural phenomenon.
“The elitist world, they looked down upon people like reality stars. I had an agent that demanded that I stop working with her. They said that, ‘She’ll never be successful. And you’re going to go down right with her, and you’re gonna lose your entire career. But, I knew in my heart that that wasn’t true. I eventually left that agent because I refused to stop working with Kim, “Dedivanovic recalls in the show.
Listening to his gut paid off for Dedivanovic, who built a relationship with one of the most famous and influential women in the entertainment world. He and Kardashian don’t merely work together. They close are friends.
The makeup master has managed to parlay his success with Kardashian into a business working with some of the top talent in Hollywood. Jennifer Lopez, Ariana Grande, Chrissy Teigen, and Priyanka Chopra are only a few of the famous faces he was worked on over the years.
Along with having a celebrity elite list of stars, Dedivanovic also launched a makeup line with Kardashian. KKW X MARIO was a limited edition sold out in a matter of days. He used the success of the line to create an exclusive masterclass, which Kardashian appeared at as his model.
