Natalie Imbruglia, 44, announced the amazing news about her new arrival on Instagram last night by sharing an adorable picture.
The Torn hitmaker uploaded a snap of herself holding her newborn’s hand, who was dressed in black-and-white striped pyjamas which featured cute rainbows.
Natalie revealed she had named her son, Max, and said her “heart is bursting”.
She captioned the sweet picture: “Welcome to the world… Max Valentine Imbruglia. My heart is bursting #myboy.”
The singer was met with many of her famous pals and fans commenting on her post, with Louise Redknapp writing “Congratulations babe so happy for you xxxxx.”
Sophie Ellis Bexter commented: “Yay!!! Hello, max! Welcome indeed. So glad you’re here safe and sound. Congratulations, mama!!”
Lisa Snowdon said: “Congratulations darling girl. You so deserve this amazing gift of love and happiness.”
Back in July, Natalie confirmed she was pregnant and spilled all about the exciting time in her life in an Instagram post.
The star described the news as a “miracle” as she told fans she’d had the help of IVF treatment and used a sperm donor.
The Australian-British hitmaker first spoke out about her new album, which is set to be released next year, before revealing her pregnancy.
She wrote on Instagram: “I’m very happy to announce that I have just signed a record deal with BMG!! What an AMAZING team.
“I have been busy writing for the past year and a half and can’t wait to share these new songs with you all!!!!
“And as you can see from the pic.. there is another announcement… (no I haven’t swallowed a watermelon).”
Natalie said have a child was something she has “wanted for a very long time” and added she’s “blessed” it has been able to happen with some help.
She added: “I’m expecting my first child this Autumn. For those of you that know me, this has been something I have wanted for a very long time and I’m blessed that this is possible with the help of IVF and a sperm donor – I won’t be saying anything more on that publicly.
“I’m so excited about this next adventure… a new album and I’m going to be a mum!”
Natalie rose to fame in the early 1990s where she played Beth Brennan in Neighbours.
She made her debut appearance on the Australian soap in 1992 and left just two years later.
Natalie reached international fame with her single Torn, a cover of Ednaswap’s song.
Her debut album, Left of The Middle, sold seven million copies with career album sales surpassing 10 million.
