Jersey Shore Star Ronnie Ortiz-Magro Slapped With Restraining Order Following Domestic Violence Arrest

Following Jersey Shore: Family Vacation star Ronnie Ortiz-Magro’s arrest during the early morning hours on Friday, October 4th, for alleging attacking his on-again, off-again girlfriend Jen Harley with a knife, the LAPD issued an emergency order of protection which bans Ortiz-Magro from coming within 100 yards of his baby momma. Will this finally put an end to their tumultuous relationship?

According to Us Weekly, Ortiz-Magro allegedly hit Harley just hours after they confirmed that they were back together. The couple was staying in an AirBnB, and Harley was reportedly screaming while running through the neighborhood, telling anyone who would listen that someone had taken her daughter.

After multiple 911 calls, police arrived on the scene and arrested Ortiz-Magro. He was released from jail hours later after posting $100,000 bail.

Prosecutors have charged the Jersey Shore star with kidnapping, and the protective order is in place until October 11th. However, Harley can extend the order if she chooses to do so. Ortiz-Magro is still allowed to see his daughter he shares with Harley, 18-month old Ariana Sky.

The LAPD confirms that they had to tase Ortiz-Magro after he was “uncooperative” when they arrived on the scene, and an insider says that the 33-year-old feels “pretty horrible” after the incident. Ortiz-Magro is currently “very somber,” and he’s trying to put himself in a place mentally where he can process everything that has happened. He also claims that he didn’t attack Harley with a knife, as numerous reports claimed.

The source says that all of this is a lot for him to take in, but he’s in an “OK space.” The insider added that Ortiz-Magro and Harley called it quits again after altercation, which comes as a surprise to absolutely no one.

Ortiz-Magro’s lawyer Scott E. Leemon said in a statement the day after his client’s arrest that “The reporting of the alleged incident relating to Ronnie Magro yesterday is based upon pure speculation and innuendo. We are currently conducting our own investigation and will have no further comment until that has been concluded.”

Hours before his arrest, Ortiz-Magro said that even though everyone thinks his relationship with Harley is toxic, she really does balance him out. He explained that Harley keeps him “level” because they have a baby together, and family is all he wants at the end of the day.
