Good Morning Britain presenter Piers Morgan, 54, jokingly told viewers he had less make-up on because the show’s make-up artist was too busy helping Laura Tobin, 37.
He added the weather star had been getting her legs massaged in a bid to make them look less pale.
Before introducing Laura for her latest bulletin, he told viewers: “First off I got a bowl of porridge this morning that would have been rejected by most prisoners.
“Then my lovely make-up artist was preoccupied with massaging Laura Tobin’s legs, trying to make them look less bottle white.
“That’s fine, but as the seconds and minutes tick by, we got to three minutes to six, I was like, ‘Is there actually any danger of you removing your hands from Laura’s thighs and putting on my face?’ which is not a movement I would have normally protested about.”
Laura, who was wearing a red dress, chimed: “The legs were very white!”
Piers then went on to say Laura’s legs were “more of a priority” to the team.
Following Piers’ light-hearted moan, Laura shared an article with the headline: “Piers Morgan jokes about massaging Laura Tobin’s legs in red miniskirt.”
In view of her 117,000 followers, she wrote: “Just to be clear @piersmorgan wasn’t the one massaging my legs!
“I was just having a little colour applied so they weren’t so pale! #dontTan #MilkBottle.”
The weather star’s post prompted many of her social media fans to comment.
One user cheekily wrote: “Now there’s a job I could get onboard with.”
“I bet he was heartbroken,” a second added.
Last week, Laura quickly changed into black tights after flashing her bare legs during the live show.
After host Ben Shephard welcomed her on set, she said aloud: “With a different pair of legs.
“I had no tights on a second ago! It’s a bit colder than I thought.”
Kate Garraway replied: “You’re pointing out the flaws. Don’t tell people!”

The mother-of-one’s attire clung on to her sensational physique and gave fans a further glimpse of her pins.
