Chelsea star Christian Pulisic reveals frustration at not playing under Frank Lampard

Chelsea midfielder Christian Pulisic is frustrated at not playing enough for the Blues this season.

He hasn’t featured at all for Chelsea this month, except for 90 minutes against Grimsby Town at home in the Carabao Cup.

He was an unused substitute in Chelsea’s Premier League fixtures against Wolves, Liverpool and Brighton this month, and hasn’t featured in the league since the Blues’ 2-2 draw with Sheffield United at Stamford Bridge on August 31.

But, Pulisic has vowed to continue working hard to force his way back into Frank Lampard’s plans.

Pulisic is yet to register his first goal for Chelsea since his summer arrival.

He has, however, assisted three goals for Lampard; one in the Premier League against Norwich City, one against Grimsby, and one against Liverpool in the UEFA Super Cup.

Chelsea signed the 21-year-old in January, in a mega £57million deal from Borussia Dortmund.

But, the winger was immediately back to Dortmund on loan until the end of the season.

Pulisic made 20 appearances for Dortmund in the Bundesliga last season, scoring four goals and recording four assists.

Chelsea are currently seventh in the Premier League table, after beating Brighton and Hove Albion 2-0 at Stamford Bridge this weekend.

It was Lampard’s first win at home in the league since he became manager, having previously failed to pick up three points against Leicester City, Sheffield United and Liverpool.

The Blues now face Lille in the Champions League on Wednesday, before heading to Southampton on Sunday October 6 (2pm).
