Lauren Wright of Princeton University said the First Lady made just eight speeches in 2017, the first year of husband Donald’s Presidency. Her predecessor Michelle Obama made 74 in 2009. Ms Wright said: “In recent times, she would qualify as probably the least active First Lady.”
Mrs Trump recently promoted her BeBest anti-bullying campaign at the New York Stock Exchange.
She was joined by a group of students from the United Nationals International School.
However, the event was not without controversy.
Adam Pincus, who’s daughter attends the school, told the Washington Post: “She happens to be the representative of the Trump administration, whose modus operandi is lying and bullying, two of the biggest, most basic lessons we teach children to avoid in life.”
She was 46 when she entered the White House for the first time.
Mrs Trump is thus the seventh youngest woman to become First Lady.
Hillary Clinton, Mrs Obama, Grace Coolidge, Edith Wilson, Jacqueline Kennedy and Frances Cleveland were all younger than Mrs Trump.
Trump is in the midst of an attempt to be re-elected for a second term.
He will hold a rally in Minneapolis next month at the Target Centre.
This precedes a trip to Bangkok for the Association of South East Nations summit.
After he will head to Santiago for the Asia-Pacific Economic Co-operation Summit.
He will return to London for the 30th NATO summit in December.
Trump is 45th POTUS.
