Dan Walker: ‘Hang your head in shame’ Breakfast presenter savaged after Christmas blunder

Posting to his 577,000 followers on Twitter Dan announced that he had already begun his Christmas preparations. In the image, Dan posted a picture of an apparent homemade mince pie in his hand. Accompanying the tweet, Dan wished his followers “Merry Christmas” to which he added a Christmas tree and a shocked face emoji.

Quickly, fans of the BBC broadcaster commented criticising the presenter for already celebrating Christmas in September.

Matthew Illingworth said: “Hang your head in shame.”

Another user said: “No Dan. That is so wrong.”

However, some users did welcome the picture as they insisted that is never too early to have the Christmas treat.

“3. Double Decker.”

Another Twitter user reacted in hilarity and shock at his favourite chocolate treat choices.

One said: “Think I might have to rethink my DW obsession after this revelation. Fruit and nut?”
