Louise Redknapp: Jamie Redknapp’s ex on ‘tough’ marriage split after sharing cryptic post

Louise Redknapp, 44, kicked off the upcoming release of her album, Heavy Love, by holding a launch party last night.

During her gig, the former Strictly Come Dancing contestant spoke out on the “tough” years she went through, which resulted in her heartfelt album.

Louise, who split from Jamie Redknapp after 19 years of marriage back in 2017, said her mum urged her to write down her feelings.

At her Heavy Love album launch at BBC Studios in White City, The Sun reports she told the crowd: “When you make a new album after 18 years it’s so scary.

“As it was well documented, I went through some really tough, tough years.

“My mum always encouraged me to write down my feelings. This song got me through a really tough time so mum, I want to say thank you .”

The publication stated Louise dedicated her new song, Breaking Back Together, to her mum.

Louise recently shared why the song means so much to her, in view of her 652,000 Instagram followers.

“Breaking Back Together holds a very special place in my heart and was one of the first songs that I recorded for my new album Heavy Love,” Louise penned.

“The lyrics in the chorus came from my mum actually, I remember her saying these words to me when times were really difficult… but as they say mums know best, and it’s definitely true x.”

She added: “Breaking Back Together is available now when you pre-order my new album ‘Heavy Love’ (Link in bio).”

Meanwhile, before her album launch, Louise shared a cryptic post about her future.

The former Eternal band member, who shares two children, Charley, 15, and Beau, 10, with ex-husband Jamie, appeared to hint at not rushing anything.

“If it is right, it happens,” the post read. “The main thing is not to hurry. Nothing good gets away.”

Louise will be performing her new hits across the country when her live tour kicks off in March.

The singer gushed over a “blast from the past” discovery last week, which may make a comeback on her tour.

Louise reacted to a tweet by a fan who posted a picture of an L-shaped key ring, which was memorabilia from one of her previous shows.

The star appeared thrilled and commented: “Now that’s a blast from the past! The L jewellery… might have to dig it out for tour!”

In the meantime, the mother-of-two is currently part of 9 to 5: The Musical tour, having previously performed in the show on the West End.

Louise stars in the show alongside former Love Island contestant, Amber Davies.
