Jenelle Evans Business Fail! Former Teen Mom 2 Star Sells Only 150 Eyebrow Kits Since Launch at NYFW

Former Teen Mom 2 star Jenelle Evans attempted to move on from life as a reality TV star by launching a new eyebrow kit for her JE Cosmetics line at New York Fashion Week. But, a new report claims that the venture has been an absolute fail, as Evans has only sold 150 of her new Universal Brow Kits.

According to Radar Online, an insider close to Evans’ business revealed the low sales numbers. And, on the website, it shows that customers can purchase up to 2,822 eyebrow kits, which is an indicator of how many items Evans has left in stock.

“They will be doing more advertising and getting a better shipper,” claims the insider.

Despite having 2.9 million followers on her Instagram page and nearly 41,000 followers on the JE Cosmetics page, it appears that Evans’ fans aren’t interested in shelling out $40 for the eyebrow kits to support her business.

As for the few people who did drop the cash, not everyone was impressed.

“The brow pencil completely snapped off within a minute of using it, no matter how short I made it, it would snap off,” a Twitter review read. “There was 1 inch of product in it to begin with, now there is none. Complete waste.”

On Evans’ website, the product does have 30 positive reviews, but they are all dated between September 10th and 12th. No new reviews have popped up since, and Evans launched the product on September 10th at NYFW.

Teen Mom Young & Pregnant star Ashley Jones had teased that she would review the new eyebrow kit, but then she backed out because it only comes in one color, and none were dark enough for her brows.

The $40 kit includes enhancement highlighter, brow powder, stay-put wax, and a brow wand. Evans says that she created the kit as a universal product for everyone, so customers don’t have to match their shade and they can buy it and be done with it.

“I was trying to groom my eyebrows and I knew that I used the pencil a lot. [But I] sometimes used powder and then I had to go get wax for it. And I was like, why didn’t someone just put this all in one kit? Then I wouldn’t need to go searching for it!” explained the 27-year-old.

Jenelle Evans’ controversial husband David Eason has also tried to start a business after killing the family dog Nugget. He launched BlackRiverMetalnWood on Etsy this summer to sell handmade items like leather keychains, bracelets, daggers, and knives. However, he has only made 12 sales since opening his online store.
