David Cameron appeared on This Morning alongside his wife, Samantha Cameron, to talk about the 2016 EU referendum and stepping down as Prime Minister.
But during his conversation with Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield, the former Prime Minister made an epic blunder, leaving the hosts in stitches.
Whilst speaking about the Leave campaign, David exclaimed: “Believe me, I s**t at… Shouted at the TV!”
Phillip joked: ”We all did, and we have done ever since!”
Holly and Phillip fell into fits of giggles at David’s blunder, who tried to rectify his mistake.

He added “Excuse me, I’m sorry.”
Still red-faced, David repeated the word “shout”, and said: “We have broken a new boundary I think, I am very sorry.”
Phillip quipped: “We never saw you say that on Newsnight, that’s for sure!”
Addressing the hilarious moment on Instagram, Holly shared a clip of David’s gaffe and wrote: “Well… no one was expecting that…”
“This was hilarious,” one person commented on her post.
Another said: “Holly your face cracks me up everytine I watch this.”
A third said: “How funny is this!”
On the ITV show, David was asked why the referendum had happened in the first place, David explained: “The referendum didn’t come from nowhere… people were frustrated.
“The last time we voted on it was 40 years ago.”
He continued: “I accept my responsibility for holding the referendum, and for losing the referendum, because I wanted us to stay, and some of the difficult consequences that followed.”
“My plan was to try and keep Britain in a reformed Europe, and I failed in that endeavour. And I accept my share of the responsibility for the difficulties that have followed.”
Later Phillip asked David why he decided it was the right time for a referendum and why he stepped down from his position as Prime Minister.
“Well that’s the other thing, that people saw that you got us into that mess, into this mess that three years later,” he began. “Because Europe has always been the achilles heel of the Tory party.”
“Well not just the Conservative Party, there was a genuine problem with Europe changing in front of our eyes and us trying to deal with that and you know, every political party promised a referendum at some stage between 2005 and 2015,” David defended.
