Believe it or not, but random steam key opening is a YouTube thing – people buy mystery Steam codes and open them, hoping to find the latest AAA nonsense. All the codes on Reviews Roulette are sent to us by indie developers – or have been suggested by other members of the RPS team – so take us to more unusual places. This weeks random Steam codes, for example, include a chair building simulator, a platformers where you have to coat obstacles in blood to see them and a bomb that has to be defused with morse code. It gets pretty emotional.
Reviews Roulette reviews are not a proper critical breakdown – we are just trying to gauge whether we’d play more beyond the 10 minutes. In this episode of Reviews Roulette our mystery Steam key reviews take us on a bloody rampage thought Project Downfall; give us a ticking time bomb in Them Bombs and asks us to get a fireworks factory running smoothly. Would you seriously put Rock Paper Shotgun in charge of explosives? Alice also tries her hand arcade shooter Tense Reflection; Matthew murders all the pigs in the universe in Super Pig X and Astrid spends way too long sawing some virtual wood.
