Colin Kaepernick Nike Commercial Wins Creative Arts Emmy

The 2019 Emmy telecast does not air until September 22nd, but the Creative Arts Emmys have already been handed out. One of the important winners worth mentioning was Colin Kaepernick.

It’s been reported that the highly-publicized Nike commercial took the top honors in quite a competitive category.

TSR noted that ‘If you’ll recall Trump was furious at the Nike ad featuring Colin Kaepernick, going so far as to say (among other things) that it sends a “terrible message.”’

It’s been also reported that the Emmy voters didn’t agree and Huffington Post noted that the ad won the 2019 Creative Arts Emmy for Best Commercial.

TSR says that ‘The commercial is a tribute those who dream “dream crazy,” a message which goes alongside Nike’s long-standing “just do it” slogan.’

Serena Williams and LeBron James are just two of the many athletes who made appearances in the commercial.

Someone said: ‘Y’all keep saying he’s unemployed like he ain’t got Nike behind him lol.’

A follower posted: ‘They had to do some nice PR after that Beyoncé homecoming incident 😭’

One commenter wrote: ‘unpopular opinion: this win is more important than Beyoncé’s loss.’

Someone else was shocked and said: ‘I was today years old when I learned a commercial can win an Emmy🤦🏽‍♀️’

Another follower shared: ‘God said he’s gonna be on a TV screen near you 1 way or another!💪🏿’
