Queen Letizia: Queen of Spain’s stunning jewellery collection as she celebrates birthday

Queen Letizia of Spain celebrates her 47th birthday today.

Earlier this week, the stylish royal was photographed during her birthday week at an exhibition in Seville sporting a beautiful pair of diamond and pearl earrings which stole the show.

The stunning jewellery shimmered and sparkled in the Spanish sunshine and added interest to her simple, yet elegant ensemble.

The Queen of Spain opted for a taupe coloured dress which fell just below the knee and wore her hair loose over her shoulders, but it was her jewellery which added the wow factor to her outfit.

The wife of Felipe VI of Spain, 51, who is known for her impeccable fashion choices, is able to carry off both glitzy statement pieces as well as modern designs, suitable for every occasion.

During the summer, Queen Leitizia was photographed at St George’s Chapel in Windsor, while her husband took part in the traditional Order of the Garter Service, in a gorgeous pair of diamond earrings.

The Joyas de Pasar diamond chanton earrings, part of a collection of jewellery passed from Spanish monarch to monarch, were teamed with a stunning diamond floral brooch, belonging to her mother-in-law Queen Sofia, 80.

On the other end of the spectrum, the mother-of-two sported a fun pair of gold studs in the shape of a prawn for a royal engagement at a school in September last year.

During state visits, tradition dictates the Queen wears exquisite tiaras and gem-encrusted family heirlooms, all of which she effortlessly carries off in spectacular style.
