Diana Dors’ son dead: Jason Dors Lake dies just days after 50th birthday

Jason Dors Lake was the youngest son of the late actress Diana Dors, who died in 1984.

A statement on the Facebook group read: “Good morning, it saddens me to inform you of the passing of Diana’s youngest son, Jason Dors Lake at the age of 50.

“Please join me in offering condolences, thoughts and prayers to Jason’s loved ones and close friends at this time.”

Jason’s cause of death is currently unknown.

The actor followed in his mother’s footsteps with a career in the film industry.

He starred in the likes of 2001 film South Kensington, Dot Kill in 2005 and Mad Dogs and Englishmen.

Most recently, he appeared in TV series documentary Talkies in 2017.

Back in 1984, Jason’s mum Diana died from ovarian cancer at the age of 53.

Just months later, Jason’s dad Alan Lake shot himself in his bedroom.

“If he hadn’t had done that, I think he would’ve died of a broken heart anyway,” Jason said during a segment on The One Show in 2012.

Recalling the news, he added: “I was in shock, it wen beyond tears, it was a numb experience.”

Jason previously admitted to feeling “suicidal” following his parents’ death.

According to the Daily Mail, he said in 2012: “There were many times when I’ve felt angry, rebellious and even suicidal.

“It’s been very difficult to talk about, and my life has had its own ups and downs, but although I kept my feelings tightly inside.

“I have never forgotten that terrible time. I still hear Mum and Dad’s voices.”

In 2013, Jason released tell-all book Connecting Dors: The Legacy of Diana Dors with writer Niema Ash.

Within this, they wrote about Diana’s wild house parties from Jason’s memory.

In the book, Jason recalled a time he was offered drugs at the young age of nine.

He also reflected on drunken guests who would walk around naked at his home.

“I just thought it was all fairly normal,” he said. “I thought everyone behaved like that at parties.”
