David Haye sends Tyson Fury key advice to beating Deontay Wilder in future fight

It has already been announced that a rematch between Fury and Wilder will take place on February 22, 2020.

Their first bout in December last year was praised as one of the greatest heavyweight contests in recent memory with Fury coming back from being floored twice to draw the match.

And the rematch is one of the most hotly anticipated bouts in world boxing, but for now Fury has to get past Wallin on Saturday.

The self-proclaimed ‘Gypsy King’ made his Las Vegas bow against Tom Schwarz with a second round stoppage and returns to sin city to face Wallin, who is yet to be defeated in 21 fights.

Fury though looks in the shape of his life, having lost an incredible 138lbs since his return to the sport.

And Haye, who held multiple world championships in two weight classes, believes there is only one thing Fury will need to work on over the next few months to be in a position to defeat Wilder.

“For me he looks how he needs to look,” he said on BT Sport.

“He doesn’t need to focus on his weight anymore.

“He looks optimal so all I need him to do now is work on the tactical side of things.

“He’s in a place now where he can do any type of thing in training.

“He’s not training to get fit to then start working on technique.

“He can work on technique straight away.

“As soon as this fight finishes, he can go straight back in the gym and start working on the tactics that is required to beat one of the toughest guys to beat in the world – Deontay Wilder.”
