Chris Evans: Virgin Radio Breakfast host in shock Brexit confession ‘What’s going on!’

The presenter is known for his outspoken barbs and hilarious morning interviews. But he admitted recently that he had no idea what was going to happen with British politics. Speaking before Prime Minister Boris Johnson suffered a series of Brexit blows in Parliament, Chris said to his listeners: “What’s going to happen?

“Britain what is happening?

“Well I don’t know.

“People around here have more of an inkling than I do but what is going to happen?”

His latest episode comes as he made an embarrassing gaffe during one of his other morning shows.

Chris was heard accidentally reading out his old BBC email address on air as opposed to his new Virgin one.

The presenter moved from the BBC over to Virgin this year but made the shock faux pas during a live broadcast.

He was telling his listeners about the CarFest festival he runs before making the mistake.

This came after the star admitted to losing his voice at this year’s edition of CarFest.

He phoned into his Virgin Radio breakfast show on his day off to tell his team and listeners how the festival went.

CarFest is an annual family music and motoring festival started by Chris in 2011 to raise cash for Children in Need.

It comes as his old show on BBC Radio 2 announced it had hit its lowest recorded listeners.

Zoe Ball replaced Chris on the Breakfast show.

The Strictly Come Dancing It Takes Two host had a successful run at the start of the year.

But has since seen figures drop for the Breakfast show.

According to Rajar, Zoe has lost 780,000 weekly listeners for the second quarter of the year.

Chris Evans Virgin Radio Breakfast Show airs weekdays at 6.30am.
