Coronation Street spoilers: Could Gary Windass risk jail as he exposes crimes to Kate?

Gary (played by Mikey North) was responsible for the death of Rana (Bhavna Limbachia) on the ITV soap after he purposefully damaged the Underworld factory roof.

The building crumbled leaving Rana trapped among the rubble and she died in the arms of fiancee Kate (Faye Brookes).

But Gary’s crimes have not yet been exposed, leaving the guilt to get to him.

Meanwhile, Kate is leaving the past behind her next week as she prepares to leave Coronation Street to go travelling.

But before she goes, Kate attends the wedding day of Sinead Tinker (Katie McGlynn) and Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard).

Although it is a happy occasion and she’s pleased for them, it brings back memories for Kate of her own wedding day.

As viewers will remember, Rana died on what was meant to be their wedding day.

Kate’s stepmother Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Matthews) wants to cheer her up so gives her a surprise.

She goes on to discover an envelope with £1,000 has been put into her bag and thinks Jenny is behind it.

Jenny awkwardly accepts Kate’s thanks but it wasn’t her who slipped the cash in.

As the week progresses, Craig Tinker (Colson Smith) spills that he witnessed Gary popping the envelope into Kate’s bag.

Kate is baffled as to why Gary has done this and asks him for an explanation.

Gary is forced to lie to cover his tracks and tells Kate that he’s received some money for a wealthy mate and wanted to contribute to her travel funds.

However, it remains to be seen if Kate will buy his explanation as a genuine one.

Could it lead her to become suspicious of him and will she get to the bottom of his real motives?

It would mean Gary is finally exposed and would face time in prison if his role in Rana’s death is uncovered.

Elsewhere on the street there is devastating news for Sinead and Daniel ahead as the soap has confirmed Sinead with die after losing her battle with cancer.

Sinead has received treatment for cervical cancer but in upcoming scenes she will discover it’s spread.

It remains to be seen how long the young mum has to live as the timing of her final scenes have not yet been revealed.

Coronation Street continues tomorrow at 7.30pm on ITV.
