Even though NCIS is still going strong after more than a dozen seasons, things had seemed to be on a bit of a downslope between two prominent figures of the hit show.
Mark Harmon and Pauley Perrette have been involved in a public argument for some time now, and reports had indicated that they might take things to the next level and engage in a legal battle if the mudslinging continued.
However, CBS has put an end to the war of words between the actors — for now. CBS Entertainment president Kelly Kahl said Perrette no longer has any concerns which is why she is back on the network.
Kelly explained: “I can’t speak to what she’s addressing in her tweets. She did come to us a couple of years ago with a workplace concern. We immediately investigated it, and we resolved it to everyone’s satisfaction.”
Perrette will be back on CBS in 2020 with a new show called Broke.
Kahl added: “We are very happy to have her on the air again this year with us. and I don’t think she would be back with us if she had huge concerns.”
The whole thing seemed to start about two years ago when Perrette announced her exit from the show to the surprise of many of its fans.
Perrette had been portraying one of the most prominent roles — the character of Abby Sciuto, who was beloved by many for her quirkiness.
The popular actress did not initially want to reveal what had prompted her decision, although a year later she admitted that the problem was related to an incident between Harmon, his dog, and another crew member.
Perrette recalled an incident in which Harmon’s dog had attacked one of her colleagues, to which Harmon did not respond in any reasonable manner and even continued to bring the animal along for filming.
At some point, Perrette decided to call Harmon out on social media, adding more to the confusion. Many of the show’s fans seem divided over the situation, with some taking the side of Perrette.
However, others are pointing out that Harmon was likely in the right. In any case, things seemed to have cooled down.
