What time is Mindhunter season 2 released on Netflix?

All eight episodes of Mindhunter season two are expected to be released on Netflix tomorrow (Friday, August 16).

The latest season of the show will be released at midnight PT because Netflix’s headquarters are in California.

When viewers around the world will be able to see it will depend on time difference from California.

UK viewers will be able to see the series when it is uploaded at 8am BST on the platform.

Fans of the hit crime drama will also be able to watch the series for free with a 30-day trial on Netflix.

After this has expired, there are several subscription options on the platform, which start at just £5.99 a month.

Who is in the cast of Mindhunter season 2?

The main investigators Holden Ford (played by Jonathan Groff), Bill Tench (Holt McCallany) and Wendy Carr (Anna Torv) will all be returning for season two.

The trailer of the second series also confirmed that notorious serial killer Ed Kemper (Cameron Britton) will be back as well.

There will also be some new characters added to the show in the second season, including notorious cult leader Charles Manson.

The series has cast actor Damon Herriman as Manson after he recently portrayed him in the Quentin Tarantino film Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.

What will happen in Mindhunter season 2?

Created by Joe Penhall and executive produced by David Fincher, the series explores the origins of criminal psychology and profiling in the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

The first season focussed on agents Ford and Tench as they began to develop a method of interviewing serial killers.

Working with psychologist Carr, the team travelled across America to put this into action.

Information about the route that season two will take is still sparse but it will reportedly take place a few years later.

The trailer and images of the second series imply that the focus will be on the Atlanta child murders of 1979 until 1981.

These murders were a series of 28 killings of African-American children, teenagers and adults, which the Ku Klux Klan was investigated for.

The series will also continue to include interviews with very notorious serial killers and those convicted of murder.

This includes cult leader Manson, whose appearance was teased at the end of the season two trailer.
