Sarah Ferguson: ‘Powerful’ pictures show ‘haunted’ Fergie arriving at Balmoral before feud

Sarah Ferguson left Balmoral early after her former father-on-law Prince Philip, 93, arrived before he was expected.

The Duchess of York was at the Royal Family’s Scottish home with her ex husband Prince Andrew, also 59.

However, reports came that she left early as Prince Philip has never been able to move past the initial feud caused when Sarah and Andrew split up.

Sarah Ferguson and Prince Andrew had arrived separately, him in a private jet and she on a commercial flight.

The snaps were posted to Instagram and showed the Duchess walking through Aberdeen airport.

The poster of the images wrote: “The Duchess of York, pictured landing in Aberdeen, has joined Prince Andrew in Balmoral amid rumours the couple are rekindling their romance.”

The Duchess wore a black dress with black slippers featuring cat faces.

She wore a blue blazer over her torso, with an orange leather bag.

Sarah Ferguson appeared to be wearing minimal make up, with her red hair coiffed.

She appeared far from her usual upbeat self, according to a body language expert.

Body language expert Judi James told Express.co.uk the images were “powerful”.

She said: “Usually ebullient and positive, Sarah looks uncharacteristically serious and reflective in these poses, walking with her head leaning forward as though impatient to get to her destination and with an eye expression that makes her look almost haunted.

“In one shot her lips are sucked in, which is often associated with regret or unhappiness and in the other her mouth is partially open but not in a smile.”

The expert suggested Fergie may have actually been heading to comfort someone rather than on a holiday.

Judi added: “Poses like this could imply she was travelling to help or offer support rather than to enjoy herself.”

She recently posted images of her “soul mate” Andrew for her daughter Beatrice’s birthday.

Many pictures showed Sarah and Andrew when they were still happily married.

A black and white shot showed a smiling Sarah looking directly in the lens and she holds a baby Beatrice on her hip. The little girl is pointing at something Andrew, on the baby’s left, is pointing to as well.
