Taylor Swift Is Up For 10 VMAs This Year – She Has More Than Enough Reasons To Dance

According to a report from E Online, Taylor Swift has every reason to dance her heart out. Earlier, social media posts in which Taylor was tagged featured the star dancing and fans loved it. The star was seen dancing with her friends along to her newest song from Lover, “You Need To Calm Down.”

Videos of Taylor dancing along to her own song on Sunday morning went viral and fans have professed their love and admiration for what they’ve dubbed the videos as: “Drunk Taylor.” The party featured Taylor dancing along with A’Keria Davenport, Hayley Kiyoko, and Laverne Vox.

Taylor is celebrated by her fans for dancing with enthusiasm backstage, especially at awards shows. In her new video, the star wears a pink long-sleeve cut-out mini-dress and pretends to drink out of the glass while singing the song, “but you’re takin’ shots at me like it’s Patron.”

Reportedly, Taylor is up for 10 awards this year at the MTV Video Awards, including for the track, “ME!,” as well as “You Need To Calm Down.” This past Wednesday, MTV announced Taylor would be performing at the new annual awards show which is broadcasted from Newark, New Jersey, on the 26th of August, Monday.

If Taylor performs at the VMAs, it’ll be her first televised performance following the release of her album, Lover, released on the 23rd of August, this year. Four years ago in 2015, Taylor performed her song, “Bad Blood,” for which she took home the award for Video Of The Year.

According to a report from People.com, Taylor has earned several VMAs over her career, including “You Belong With Me,” “I Knew You Were Trouble,” and “Blank Space.” Moreover, she earned awards for collaborations with “Bad Blood” and “I Don’t Wanna Live Forever.”

For Swift to earn the award for Video Of The Year, she also needs to beat out Ariana Grande’s incredibly successful, “Thank U, Next,” “Bad Guy,” from Billie Eilish, “Old Town Road,” from Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus, “Sucker” from the Jonas Brothers, as well as the track, “a lot,” from 21 Savage and J. Cole.
