Danny Tetley, 37, had voluntarily turned himself into West Yorkshire police and was later arrested for “asking a child to send sexual images”. Since his arrest earlier this summer, he’s been bailed three times and has been forced to turn his phone over to officers, according to The Sun. Speaking to the publication, he said: “Someone is trying to set me up. “This kind of thing has gone on for ages because people don’t like to see me do well.
“I’ve never handled the fame very well. I haven’t worked this hard just for me to be slaughtered.”
West Yorkshire police confirmed to the publication that “proceedings are active”.
Danny, who also starred in Benidorm, appeared on series 15 of the talent show in 2018.
He was mentored by Ayda Field on the show, who is married to former Take That bandmate Robbie Williams.

The Bradford-born singer was placed in the Overs category and came sixth in the competition.
Since leaving the show, Danny has been hit with scandals including being seen in a video appearing to snort a line of white powder, which was obtained by the Sun.
He said about the video to the publication: “I am not going to try to attempt to defend this video, it is something I am not proud of. I take full responsibility for my actions and I would encourage anybody battling their demons to seek professional help.
“I have always been open about my past and I only hope that I am able to turn a negative into a positive, by trying to encourage those who see this video to seek help.”
Last year, Danny spoke candidly about his future plans since exiting the ITV show and hinted he wanted to take part in another reality television series.
Speaking on ITV’s Lorraine Kelly about his departure he said: “Do you know what? I am not disappointed one eenie teenie bit.
“I’ve not cried once, I only cry on the songs.
“Nope, there is too much to look forward to for me and I never dreamed in a million years that I would even be on The X Factor live shows, it was such a bonus.”
He continued: “Waking up every day, I was thankful that I was still living my dream and it was going to come to an end at some point and I’m just so grateful, so thankful.”
Speaking about his future, the singer teased he would like to appear Down Under in I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here.
“Maybe if there’s a spare place in the jungle at some point, something like that,” he explained.
“I used to keep chameleons. I’m used to all the insects so that should be fine.”
