Harry Redknapp, 72, encountered a confusing moment when he realised his wife Sandra Redknapp had called him by mistake at Goodwood Races yesterday. The I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! winner was being interviewed at the event when he got distracted by his phone ringing. After noticing his other half had contacted him, Harry picked up the call and attempted to explain why he was too busy to talk. The former football manager said down the phone: “I’m speaking to this beautiful young lady here and you had to ring me up.”
When he didn’t hear a response from Sandra, Harry exclaimed: “Sandra please, Sandra?”
It was at that point, the TV personality noticed his wife had in fact pocket dialled him.
Hilarity then ensued when Harry admitted to the interviewer: “She doesn’t even know that she’s rung me!”
“I can hear her talking”, the star added before he eventually gave in and ended the call.

Luckily, Harry found a way to speak to his future spouse, but there was a catch.
He explained: “I had to go up to the phone box round the corner, but that was usually broken.
“If I did get through, her parents had a party line that they shared with people across the road, so everybody could hear everybody else’s conversations.”
The romantic former footballer then credited Sandra for his success, gushing: “If I hadn’t met Sandra, I wouldn’t be where I am today. She worked in the hairdressers in Barking when I met her, and we started going out.”
Harry then insisted the couple have never argued, even when he mistakenly left his wife seriously injured after driving over her ankle in a car accident.
He continued: “We’ve honestly never had a cross word, even when I accidentally ran her over in the car and totally mangled her ankle.”
