Virgin Voyages will serve an English pale ale in the Draught Haus bar which will be found onboard the Scarlet Lady. The craft beer took a year to create and was made in partnership with Wynwood Brewing Company, Miami. It is brewed using American malts and hops in Miami but using an English yeast, in a nod to Virgin’s British roots. Speaking about the beverage, Charles Steadman, Senior Manager of Beverage Development for Virgin Voyages said: “Virgin Voyages always loves a challenge and so we asked ourselves, “how can we create the most perfect beer to be enjoyed in the midday sun?
“We have created the perfect pale ale that is both thirst quenching and refreshingly delicious, but of course, created with a Virgin twist, as we have given our pale beer a little kiss of scarlet red.
“And who better to partner with on this exciting endeavor than Wynwood Brewing Company, based in Scarlet Lady’s home port of Miami.”
The Scarlet Lady will arrive at PortMiami in 2020, sailing to the Caribbean with 2770 passengers onboard served by 1150 crew.
A range of luxurious Caribbean cruises will be offered on the ship, including five-night Riviera Maya sailings to Cozumel/Playa Del Carmen; five-night Mayan Sol voyages to Costa Maya, Mexico and five-night Dominican Daze voyages to Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic, and four-night Fire and Sunset Soirées sailings, including a sunset departure from Key West and a midnight departure from Bimini with enhanced programming at The Beach Club.
Each sailing will feature a stop in Bimini, Bahamas where Virgin Voyages sailors can experience The Beach Club at Bimini.
The Scarlet Lady will only be available to adults, with no passenger under 18 allowed onboard.
Guests will enjoy free fitness classes, free dining, free gratuities, free Wi-fi, free filtered water and all sodas included in the voyage fair.
Ensuring their cruise ships cater to an increasingly environmentally conscious customer, Virgin Voyages is aiming to have one of the cleanest fleets at sea.
Nine restaurants on the Scarlet Lady will offer cuisine from pizza to steak, and five bars will keep guests well watered.
There will also be two entertainment spaces for shows and clubbing.
