Norwegian Cruise Line reveal ‘exclusive songwriter cruises’ in revolutionary ship routes

Cruise passengers can combine a dream holiday with the chance to meet their music idols in a series of new routes planned by Norwegian Cruise Line. The firm’s 16 vessels will host exclusive songwriter cruises and the release of never before heard tracks as part of an exciting new free The Beat programme. Norwegian is also requesting artists develop specific created content – which can only be heard by ship passengers – as part of a series of initiatives on board. Their curated content will additionally form the brand’s global music library.

Multi-platinum recording artist and songwriter Andy Grammer, singer of Good to be Alive (Hallelujah), will host the first songwriters cruise.

Songwriters will be invited to sail on board the recently revitalised Norwegian Joy on a seven-day voyage to Alaska from Seattle.

They will then create tuneful content inspired by the world class destinations the ship stops off at.

It will also draw on the on shore experiences offered by the brand.
