Mortal Kombat 11 Nightwolf release tease and Spawn DLC character update

Mortal Kombat 11 Nightwolf DLC looks set to be coming to MK11 next, and fans have got a release tease as well as an update on the new Spawn character.

Mortal Kombat 11 fans have been teased about the upcoming addition of DLC character Nightwolf.

Nightwolf first appeared in the Mortal Kombat series back in Mortal Kombat 3, and was last a playable character back in 2011.

The Native American shaman and Earthrealm warrior will be a DLC character for Mortal Kombat 11 alongside Shang Tsung, Sindel and Spawn.

And ahead of the Nightwolf release date Mortal Kombat 11 fans have been given a very brief tease of what they can expect.

Mortal Kombat supremo Ed Boon on Twitter revealed the first footage of Nightwolf in MK11.

The short nine second teaser looks to be part of a full character trailer which NetherRealm Studios could be building up towards.

The teaser trailer was posted by Boon on Twitter alongside the message: “We know you guys have been dying to get a glimpse at Nightwolf for Mortal Kombat 11.

“So here’s that glimpse”.

Responding to the tweet one fan posted: “Now give us the trailer”.

Another wrote: “REVEAL TRAILER”.

One added: “Awesome! But no release date????”

And another posted: “Nightwolf looks amazing! I can’t wait to play as this character on release”.

In other Mortal Kombat 11 news, Spawn creator Todd McFarlane revealed how the iconic comic book character came to appear in MK11.

And according to McFarlane, NetherRealm approached him about having Spawn appear in MK11.

Speaking to IGN, McFarlane said he told the Mortal Kombat 11 makers not to hold back in their depiction of Spawn.

Discussing what he told NetherRealm, McFarlane said: “I want you to get crazy.

“And the only comment you’re really going to hear from me is that you weren’t crazy enough.

“I’m not going to be happy unless you make him super wicked in what he does.

“You say that to a bunch of 25-year-old developers, you get some good stuff.”
