The former First Lady of the United States told Trump that the US was everyone’s, regardless “where we are born”. She was responding to comments Trump made on social telling the likes of Somalian-born Democrat Ilhan Omar, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ayanna Pressley and Rashida Tlaib to “go back” to their “broken and crime infested” countries. Such was the backlash from his tweets, the House of Representatives condemned the remarks, with Speaker Nancy Pelosi suggesting they were racist.
However according to Yahoo, the feud continued as Trump supporters chanted “send her back” during one of his Make America Great Again rallies in North Carolina.
Trump also alleged that Ms Omar was an ISIS sympathiser.
But writing on Twitter, Michelle said: “What truly makes our country great is its diversity.
“I’ve seen that beauty in so many ways over the years.

“Where we are born here or seek refuge here, there’s a place for us all.
“We must remember it’s not my America or your America.
“It’s our America.”
Trump’s row with Ms Omar saw him reference a letter she wrote in 2016, calling for a federal court judge to give leniency in the sentencing of nine Somali-American men from Minnesota who travelled abroad to join ISIS.
He didn’t outline who the women were he was referring to in his controversial tweet, but contextually it pointed towards a group of four women sometimes nicknamed “the squad”.
During the debate on his remarks, Ms Pelosi said: “There is no place anywhere for the President’s words, which are not only divisive, but dangerous – and have legitimised and increased fear and hatred of new Americans and people of colour.
“It’s so sad because you would think that there would be a given that we would universally, in this body, just say, ‘Of course. Of course.'”
She then added: “There’s no excuse for any response to those words but a swift and strong unified condemnation.
“Every single member of this institution, Democratic and Republican, should join us in condemning the President’s racist tweets.”
