Love Island: Who left Love Island tonight? Was anyone dumped?

Love Island 2019 saw another recoupling tonight (July 19) in which the girls had the choice to couple up with one of the boys. While the likes of Tommy Fury and Molly-Mae Hague were dead certs to couple up together, doubt was thrown over who Amber Gill would pick between Greg O’Shea and Michael Griffiths. Amber’s choice left one of the boys gutted, but was anyone dumped from Love Island tonight?

Was anyone dumped from Love Island tonight?

Love Island viewers were left stunned by tonight’s recoupling as Amber chose to couple up with Greg.

Amber had been getting to know the pro rugby player prior to the recoupling.

Michael had other ideas, however, and told Amber he still had feelings for her earlier this week – despite initially dumping her in favour of Joanna Chimonides during the girls’ time in Casa Amor.

It wasn’t enough for Michael to win Amber over but he still kept his place on the island and wasn’t dumped.

Michael is now instead coupled up with another late arrival, Francesca Allen.

WHAT HAPPENED TO LOVE ISLAND’S ANTON? WHY DID HE LEAVE THE VILLA?

ITV’s decision to keep Michael in the villa was likely down to the fact there is an even number of Islanders in the villa.

This is because Greg joined the cast earlier this week alongside the two new girls: India Reynolds and Harley Brash.

Prior to Amber’s decision, she expressed doubt regarding choosing Greg over Michael.

Amber said in the Beach Hut: “I honestly don’t know what to say. It’s a weird one and it’s a hard one.”

The 21-year-old sought advice from her fellow Islanders before making her decision.

Belle Hassan told her: “He has completely betrayed your trust and picked someone else over you.

“If I was in your position, I would start something new with someone else.”

HOW TALL IS LOVE ISLAND’S MICHAEL GRIFFITHS?

Ovie Soko, however, had a different approach to Belle and seemed to sway Amber towards Michael.

The pro basketball player said: “The connection you have with Michael is much stronger than the connection you have with Greg.

“At the end of the day, to win big, you’ve got to bet big.”

Amber then spoke with Michael, telling him: “I don’t know what to do for the best.

“It was only last night you put your cards on the table.”

Michael tried to reassure her but his efforts appear to have been in vain.

WHO DOES OVIE SOKO PLAY BASKETBALL FOR?

When the next Islander will be dumped from Love Island remains unknown.

With 16 contestants still inside the villa and only two weeks until the final, ITV2 viewers may be in for a fair few goodbyes in the coming episodes.

Tommy and Molly-Mae are currently being tipped to take the Love Island title this year.

They’ll face competition from the likes of Anna Vakili and Jordan Hames, Curtis Pritchard and Maura Higgins, and Amber and Greg.

Love Island 2019 continues at 9pm on weeknights and Sundays on ITV2.
