Manchester United have been told by Leicester that there is a time limit on any deal for Harry Maguire and it is before the transfer window closes.

United saw their initial £70million bid rejected by the club as Brendan Rodgers insists nobody has met the club’s valuation of their centre-back.

When asked about a cut-off point for transfer dealings for Maguire, Rodgers said: “Yes, there will be. We can’t leave ourselves short.

Manchester United will submit a bid for Bruno Fernandes this week.

That’s according to journalist Duncan Castles, who claims Fernandes’ agent has told Sporting Lisbon an offer will arrive in the next four days.

Fernandes was in stunning form last season, netting 32 times and providing 18 assists in all competitions – and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants him at Old Trafford.

“It’s welcome news to Sporting, whether it turns into the transfer that a lot of Manchester United fans are hoping for we will find out,” he said on The Transfer Window podcast.

“Sporting have been informed by Bruno Fernandes’ agent, his brother—in-law Miguel Pinho, that an offer will come in from Manchester United this week.”

08:00 UPDATE: Florent Da Silva to Manchester United

Manchester United are in advanced talks to sign Lyon teenager Florent Da Silva.

The talented 16-year-old midfielder has numerous European heavyweights monitoring his progress.

But Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are leading the race.

French newspaper L’Equipe claim Manchester United are set to offer him a professional contract at Old Trafford.

Da Silva, who netted in both of his appearances for France Under-16, is still undecided and could opt to stay at Lyon should he be offered first-team opportunities.

07:45 UPDATE: Nicolas Pepe offers

Liverpool and Arsenal have both submitted offers for Lille star Nicolas Pepe.

Pepe, 24, is one of the most sought-after players in world football after a stunning campaign with Lille.

The Ivory Coast international scored 23 goals in 41 appearances and has been valued at a whopping £60million.

French newspaper L’Equipe claim the Premier League duo have made offers for Pepe, along with Antonio Conte’s Inter Milan.

Get French Football News tweeted: “L’Équipe confirm tonight that Lille have received firm bids from Liverpool, Arsenal & Inter Milan for Nicolas Pépé.”

07:30 UPDATE: Arsenal secret weapon

Arsenal technical director Edu is playing a key role in the Gunners’ pursuit of his compatriot Everton, according to reports in Brazil.

Brazilian outlet Band reckon Edu, who was part of his country’s senior setup at the Copa America, has been utilised to help seal a deal.

They claim Edu opened talks with Everton and his representatives at the tournament, when it was thought his own move to Arsenal had already been agreed.

Edu’s actions have formalised Arsenal’s interest in Everton and helped convince the forward’s agent to advise him heading to north London would be good for his career.

Everton is said to have held advanced conversations with Arsenal regarding a potential switch to the Premier League.
