Melania Trump: First Lady surges in popularity as new poll reveals Hillary Clinton plummet

The First Lady has been voted the third most admired in America this year. The wife of US President Donald Trump jumped seven places to received the third-best title behind former First Lady Michelle Obama and Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Hillary Clinton dropped four places and came in as the eighth most admired out of the list of 10.

Melania has recently faced backlash following a chant at Trump’s MAGA rally in North Carolina.

The chant, “send her back” which was aimed at IIhan Omar, was bellowed by Trump supporters.

After Trump condemned the chant, vicious Twitter users have turned it on Slovene-born Melania.

The comment has since escalated as Michelle was voted “most admired” over Melania.

One Twitter user said: “The difference being Michelle Obama isn’t a gold-digger.”

Another added: “Melania, you need a new slogan. Be Best didn’t make you the most admired woman in the USA, certainly not the world tr keep the words “Be Best” and put actions behind them or admit you lie.”

A third said: “Donald needs to ship Melania Trump and her parents back to Slovenia.

“She is an illegitimate FLOTUS! Citizenship be damned.”

Following the chants, Trump said: “I was not happy with it. I disagree with it.”

The criticism comes after the President tweeted about four Democratic congresswomen of colour “why don’t they go back and help fix the totally broken and crime-infested places from which they came.”

Democrat, Al Green, lead an impeachment vote against Trump in the US House of Representatives.

The House voted 332 to 95 to set aside the measure.
