Man Utd fans in meltdown over Greenwood and Rashford during Leeds clash – ‘Sell Lukaku’

That’s after the first half displays of Mason Greenwood and Marcus Rashford in a pre-season friendly against Leeds.

The pair were both on target against their Championship opponents in Perth which left Manchester United fans drooling over their efforts.

And the Red Devils fans have made their feelings clear on Lukaku on social media.

One sarcastically said: “Greenwood and Rashford scoring same match. I’m worried sick going into next season with Lukaku sold”.

Another added: “United don’t need to sign a Lukaku replacement. Rashford, Martial, Greenwood is enough.”

A third explained: “So sell lukaku and put greenwood up top with rashford?”

Ahead of the match against rivals Leeds, Solskjaer said that if the likes of Lukaku and Paul Pogba stay at Old Trafford they will be fully committed.

He said: “You know, the day we start the league I’m sure everyone who’s here will give absolutely everything for Manchester United.

“We are going to have a strong team with players who want to give everything.

“There’s always rumours, speculation about Man United players but when the league starts we batten the hatches down and we stick together as a team.”

Lukaku struggled to make much of an impact last season as United finished way down in sixth in the Premier League.

The Belgian netted 15 goals and provided four assists but looks set for an Old Trafford exit.

Before going on holiday this summer, Lukaku indicated he expected a busy summer concerning his future.

“I’ll speak with my club and my agent Federico Pastorello to make the best decision,” he said.

“I am going to enjoy my holidays with my family now.

“I know what I’ll do, but won’t say it. We’ll see. Do I expect a busy summer? Yes.”

United start their Premier League campaign against Chelsea on Sunday, August 11 (4.30pm).
