Wan-Bissaka reveals advice from Man Utd flop
Aaron Wan-Bissaka has admitted he talked with Manchester United flop Wilfried Zaha before his move to Old Trafford.
“When he knew that I joined he just told me to play without fear,” Wan-Bissaka said.
“I have come here as a new signing and he said, ‘Just play your game and do what you did last season.’
“He was happy for me. He said I deserved it and I should continue working hard and doing what I do.”
Zaha spent a miserable 18 months at United before returning to Crystal Palace in 2015.
Harry Maguire to undergo Man Utd medical
Manchester United transfer target Harry Maguire will undergo a medical to become Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s third signing of the summer today.
That’s according to The Sun, who claim the Red Devils are on the verge of landing their man.
Maguire has been on United’s radar for well over a year with Jose Mourinho failing to snap him up a year ago.
Yet it appears the England international will soon be touching down at Old Trafford should he pass his medical today.
Leicester have supposedly agreed to sell the player for £80million – £60m up front and £20m in add-ons.
Solskjaer and Woodward at loggerheads
Portuguese newspaper Correio da Manha claim Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Ed Woodward are at odds over Bruno Fernandes.
The Sporting Lisbon star has emerged as a top Red Devils transfer target this summer.
But, while Solskjaer wants his signing, Woodward is said to be wary of paying more than £50m for a midfielder who has never played in the Champions League.
Fernandes scored 31 goals for Sporting from midfield last season.
And the 24-year-old also helped Portugal win the Nations League, beating both Switzerland and Holland on their route to glory.
James reveals Giggs advice
Manchester United new boy Daniel James has revealed the advice Ryan Giggs gave him about his move to Old Trafford, saying: “Giggsy, as soon as I came into the Wales set up had ambitions for me. The way he brought me and a lot of other youngsters through has been amazing.
“He spoke to me when I first signed for United. His advice was to be myself, which is what I will try to do.
“He wasn’t a bad player was he? What he did at Manchester United was amazing. Every young winger looks up to a person like him.
“He was playing in the Premier League until he was 40 and he was still beating players. Credit to him, the way he looks after his body.
“It is amazing for me, when I go away on internationals, to learn from people like him. He is obviously someone I aspire to be like.”
