Man Utd boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has one Paul Pogba worry amid Real Madrid transfer links

Paul Pogba has been linked with a move away from United since last season with Real Madrid interested in the Frenchman.

Despite statistically having his best season for Manchester United last term, Pogba still remains intent on trying to leave.

The 26-year-old has spoken of seeking a new challenge and back in March revealed it would be a dream to play for Real Madrid.

He said: “For me I have been for three years in Manchester and have been doing great; some good moments and some bad moments, like everybody. Like everywhere else.

“After this season and everything that happened this season, with my season being my best season as well… I think for me it could be a good time to have a new challenge somewhere else.”

While Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola has also confirmed his client’s wishes to move on.

“Everyone within the club [United] from the manager to the owner knows Paul’s wishes,” Raiola told The Times.

“Everyone knows the willingness of Paul to move on. We are in the process of that. Everyone knows what the feelings of Paul are.”

And despite Solskjaer’s willingness for Pogba to stay, he’s concerned the midfielder’s attitude could be a hinderance on the younger players in the team, according to the Metro.

United, though, do not want to let Pogba go unless a £150m valuation can be met.

The report also states that the youngsters at United are in ‘awe’ of Pogba.

Solskjaer, however, is considering giving Pogba the captain’s armband ahead of the new season.

“It hasn’t (been decided), so we’ve got quite a few possibilities there and when the season starts we’ll announce it,” he said.

“Of course, we’ll have a good assessment and see how pre-season goes. But, as you saw, Ashley will wear it when he’s playing until we decide on someone.”

United are interested in bringing Bruno Fernandes to the club to partner up with Pogba in midfield but they will have to spend over £50m if they want the Portuguese to join them.
