Emily Hartridge dead: TV presenter and Youtube star dies after accident aged 35

Celebrities including Davina McCall have flocked to social media to pay a tribute to television presenter Emily Hartridge, who has died aged 35.

A statement on her official Instagram page said the Youtube star passed away after an accident.

In view of her 44,000 followers, the statement read: “Hi everyone. This is a horrible thing to have to say over Instagram but we know many of you were expecting to see Emily today and this is the only way to contact you all at once.

“Emily was involved in an accident yesterday and passed away. We all loved her to bits and she will never be forgotten.

“She has touched so many lives it’s hard to imagine things without her. She was a very special person xxx.”

Express.co.uk has contacted a representative for Emily for comment. 

According to The Sun, the star was was involved in a collision near her home in South London on Friday.

She was reportedly pronounced dead at the scene around 8.30am yesterday morning.

Emily founded Youtube channel 10 Reasons Why and went on to front the series Oh Sh*t I’m 30.

Within her Youtube show she interviewed a host of A-Listers including Hugh Jackman, Amanda Seyfried and Eddie Redmayne.

Following the tragic news of her death, many celebrities and fans flocked to social media to pay a tribute.

David McCall commented: “My heart goes out to Emily’s family and friends. Such a shock. Sending you love and prayers.”

Made in Chelsea star Ashley James said: “Sending you all so much love. So devastated.”

Calum Best wrote: Jesus Christ no way this is so sad I’m so sorry.”
