David Beckham, 44, mistakenly unveiled a top secret perk for tennis fans seated in the Royal Box at Wimbledon 2019. The Manchester United legend let the surprising feature slip when he posed for a selfie with his mum Sandra. The pair were pictured enjoying a match at centre court as they beamed for the camera. David captioned the snap: “Fun day at Wimbledon with mum… #tradition.”
In spite of the sweet photo, some eagle eyed fans got distracted by what was going on in the background as they noticed a tiny personal TV fitted into the seats.
According to Hello! the small screen allows Wimbledon attendees to get a closer look at the matches.
The TV’s also provide the opportunity to swap coverage between courts to enable fans to watch two games at once.
Fans took to the comments section of David’s post to gush about the former footballer’s adorable day out with his mum.
One wrote: “Awwww… that’s so nice!”(sic)
Another added: “Best seats in the house @davidbeckham love treating mum.”
David seemed to be having a laugh with Holly at the match, who stunned in a vibrant orange dress.
Richard opted for a classic grey suit for the occasion and added a pop of contrast with a blue polka dot tie.
David’s mum Sandra oozed glamour in a chic pink and black ensemble as she sat by her son’s side during the game.
The Beckhams recently celebrated Harper Beckham’s eighth birthday.
David and Victoria Beckham, 45, dined out at a restaurant surrounded by an assortment of pink and white balloons which had been arranged for their youngest child.
Victoria posted a sweet snap of her husband and Harper with their arms around each other in view of her 25.9 million followers.
She captioned the photo: “Birthday girl with daddy xxxx kisses @davidbeckham #harperseven.”
