Carol Vorderman, 58, declared she is not interested in appearing on Celebrity Mastermind during her BBC Radio Wales show. The Countdown favourite surprised her co-host Alex Winters, 42, when she admitted she had “refused” to appear on the BBC programme as a contestant. Their discussion about the game show began when Carol gushed about her love for BBC drama Keeping Faith on air. The mathematics expert explained: “Keeping Faith is fantastic and you’ve got to watch series two.
“I’ve decided… I’ve refused to go on Celebrity Mastermind for all these years but that is going to be my specialist subject, Keeping Faith series one and two.”
Alex appeared to giggle in shock at Carol’s Mastermind snub as he insisted she would have a chance at winning the show.
He replied: “You’d win, you would do very well.”
The star’s admission comes after she attended the Keeping Faith premiere last week.
Carol wore a curve-enhancing outfit for the occasion, which showed off her famous assets.
The dress was covered in an assortment of graphic prints including gold chains and vibrant red stripes.
The bodycon ensemble nipped her in at the waist and highlighted her Rear of the Year winning posterior.
Carol shared a series of snaps documenting her stylist look in view of her 406,000 Twitter followers.
The mathematics expert captioned the post: “Just so loved the #KeepingFaith premiere last night…
“Lovely to chat Eve and huge congratulations @TeamEveMyles x @BBCWales @BBCOne.”
She was pictured beaming with glee alongside Eve Myles, 40, who plays Faith Howells in the series.
In response to Carol’s appearance at the event, the actress took the opportunity to thank her for supporting the show.
She replied: “Thank you for a fantastic introduction last night Carol!
“So lovely to meet you and I appreciate your support immensely.”
Before stepping out at the premiere, Carol tweeted about her excitement for series two.
She wrote: “I’m so excited to be introducing the premiere tomorrow night on stage @bbcwales.
