Mark Labbett: The Chase quizzer reveals surprising job ‘Looking forward to it’

Mark Labbbett, 53, has been a regular fixture on the ITV programme The Chase since 2009 and has also appeared on the US and Australian versions of the show. But the quizmaster has now revealed he was previously a school netball coach after he posted his enthusiasm about the Netball World Cup 2019, which will be kicking off in London tomorrow. In view of his 113,000 Twitter followers, The Beast wrote: “As a former netball coach, looking forward to it!” It comes after former Olympic 400m medallist Katharine Marry retweeted a post from Mark after he showed his support for the upcoming sporting event.

Mark penned: “I am hoping that 2019 could be the year of #ENGvNZ world finals. Netball, Cricket, Rugby Union…like a good Guinness I hope white will be on top of Black in all of them.”

She replied: “All starts tomorrow Mark with the netters…so we will see #NWC2019…every game is live on @SkyNetball if the Beast wants a netball feast.”

Elsewhere, the small-screen star threw his support behind his fellow Chaser after it was recently revealed they would be featured in a new programme.

Jenny Ryan, 37, will be taking part in the new series of the BBC show Celebrity Masterchef.

The Vixen will be joined by other celebrities including EastEnders star Adam Woodyatt, former Love Island contestant Dr Alex George and Olympic athlete Greg Rutherford.

Mark retweeted a snap of his colleague following the news which was captioned: “Do you back @jenlion against this lot?” in reference to her fellow competitors.

The quizzer shared the link of his blog to his Twitter, which was retweeted by his The Chase co-star, Mark.

“I have Parkinson’s disease. I will fight this with every breath I have,” Paul wrote.

Jenny also showed her support as she retweeted the same blog post.

She wrote: ”Love you loads, brother x.”

The Chase airs weekdays on ITV at 5pm.
