While we have no set release date yet, it appears that new details surrounding the Valguero map will be announced in July.
This is when the original ARK Survival Evolved update was scheduled for PS4 and Xbox One, and the latest news suggests that it is still on target.
According to a new statement from Studio Wildcard, working is still being done on the final console launch.
But from the sounds of it, this development process is in its final stage, and that means we could hear more about it very soon.
“We’re busy finalising some of the patches for the console release and will be announcing the release date soon,” Studio Wildcard revealed in a new statement.
Adding in time for the certification process on PS4 and Xbox One, the new Valguero map could be playable on console close to the end of July.
But like all good things, there is also the chance it might be delayed into August. Stuff like this has happened in the past with ARK Survival, so fans will be prepared for such a delay.
Studio Wildcard has also put together a new post on other projects that are being worked on, some of them likely to be PC exclusive.
This includes talk of new servers being brought online, older ones being recycled, and other events being worked on.
ARK SURVIVAL EVOLVED CHANGES
New Servers – You’ve been providing lots of feedback on this topic and we’ve been discussing what the future looks like in terms of new servers/server configurations that may be fun in engaging. We hope to reduce the legacy server count by the end of summer to provide some new takes on the ARK experience.
PVP Balance – The beta that’s being launched is part of a larger discussion on game balance and what the current meta is for ARK. We’ll be fine-tuning and continually tweaking numbers.
Classic PvP Season 2 – A new season for Classic PvP will be coming soon. There will be more details on what this includes in the future.
Opening Transfers for Valguero – You’ll be able to transfer out of Valguero starting later today. You will be able to begin transferring into these servers at the beginning of October.
Official Server Saves – The Great Migration and updated legacy saves for live PvE servers will be available this week.
For those that might have missed the news, Valguero is a new map that started as a mod which is being released on all platforms, including PS4 and Xbox One.
It will feature new dinosaurs, as well as unique biomes and areas of the map to explore.

ARK Survival Evolved is available to download and play on PS4, Xbox One and PC, although it should be noted that features such as mods are mainly supported on Steam.
