Lucas Vazquez talks
Arsenal have held talks with Real Madrid over signing winger Lucas Vazquez, according to reports in Spain.
The 28-year-old is available for around £30million and Spanish publication AS say a deal could be wrapped up as early as next week if the Gunners are willing to meet his valuation.
Having spent around £190m already this summer, Real are looking to recoup some cash through player sales while Gunners boss Unai Emery is desperate to bring in a new man to play out wide.
The reports from AS says the nine-cap Spain international is keen on the move but Arsenal could also face competition from Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich and Inter Milan.
The Gunners already have one signing through the door the summer – 18-year-old Brazilian Gabriel Martinelli from Ituano Futebol Clube for an undisclosed fee.
William Saliba condition
Arsenal have been told by Saint-Etienne they will not sanction the transfer of William Saliba unless they agree to one condition.
Unai Emery faces the tricky decision of whether to go ahead with the transfer of William Saliba as Saint-Etienne will not allow a deal to be completed unless he returns to them on loan next season.
According to reports in France the Gunners have already had one bid rejected for the Saliba, with Saint-Etienne president Roland Romeyer insisting the player being loaned back was a non-negotiable condition on a transfer being agreed.
“He will stay at the club this season,” Romeyer said. “It is an imperative condition should we come to an agreement for his transfer. It’s also William’s wish.”
Walter Kannemann interest
Arsenal have contacted Brazilian side Gremio over the availability of centre-back Walter Kannemann.
That’s according to the Mirror who claim Unai Emery is targeting a bargain swoop for the Argentina international.
Kannemann, 28, is available for just £12million.
However, Kannemann’s agent Martin Wainbuch revealed this week that Wolves have already made an enquiry.
