Super Mario Maker 2 came out yesterday, and you know what? We think it’s pretty good. One curious feature about the Switch sequel, however, is that when you have the console undocked, you can only use the touch screen to edit levels (yep, you can’t use the buttons and joysticks located on the sides of the thing). This might prompt you to use your sweaty, grubby digits, to build levels (you monster) or it might get you to purchase a stylus. If you’re inclined to do the latter, you should make sure it’s the right kind.
Unlike the Wii U, which used a resistive touch screen, the Switch uses a capacitive touch screen, like most phone screens do. Without boring you with the difference between the two, this means your Wii U stylus won’t work on your Switch, and you’ll have to buy a new one.
