Revealed: Iran's TOP SECRET weapon which will stop any US invasion attempt in its tracks

Tensions between Iran and the US have neared breaking point over the last few weeks after a series of attacks on oil tankers in the region and the most recent downing of a US drone in “international airspace” over the strategic chokepoint of the Strait of Hormuz. Writing in the American Spectator, geopolitical analyst Brandon J Weichert said Iran has devastating electromagnetic pulse (EMP) weapons which could be devastating for the US. Although Iran may not have sophisticated weaponry that could threaten the US directly, Iran could deliver a huge blow to US forces which could “incapacitate the technological US invasion force before they could damage the Iranians”.

Mr Weichert also claimed Iran could also launch a series of cyber attacks against US civilian networks.

Worryingly for the US, he also insisted: “Iran would likely activate its global nexus of terrorist affiliates and charge them with attacking civilian targets in the United States, Europe, Israel, and the Sunni Arab countries.”

The report from the geopolitical expert comes after Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) shot down a US surveillance drone in what they termed as a “clear message to America”.

Iran had claimed that the drone had ventured into Iranian airspace while the US instantly denied those allegations, claiming that the drone was flying over international waters.

The US, who recently sent an extra 1,000 troops to the region, insisted that it was an “unprovoked attack” by the Revolutionary Guard.

Moreover, US President Donald Trump said that “Iran made a very big mistake” following the attack on the drone.

The downing of the US drone follows after two oil tankers were attacked last Thursday near to the Strait of Hormuz, in the Gulf of Oman.

The US has accused Iran of the attack and has also accused the Islamic Republic of a similar attack earlier in the month.

Although Iran did deny both attacks on the oil tankers, the Islamic Republic also revealed that its stockpile of low-enriched uranium would exceed limits previously agreed with other world powers in the 2015 nuclear pact.

IRGC commander-in-chief Major-General Hossein Salami warned the US that it had to respect its territorial integrity in a bold threat to Washington.

He added: “Those who defend the borders of the Islamic nation of Iran will react in a total and decisive way to any intrusions by foreign elements on our land. Our borders are our red line.

“Iran is not seeking war with any country, but we are fully prepared to defend Iran.”
