Weight loss diet: This is the best plan to follow according to celebrity personal trainer

Weight loss goals can be reached more quickly by following a structured diet plan. For those who don’t know where to start, a quick search online will bring up lots of different plans promising to help slimmers lose those extra pounds. Celebrity personal trainer, Simone De La Rue, opened up to Express.co.uk about how effective different diet plans are and what is actually the best one to follow for weight loss. She also explained what food group slimmers should eat more of to transform their bodies.

What is the best diet?

When it comes to losing weight, one diet plan may be the best way to start for many slimmers.

Simone told Express.co.uk: “Each person is different so you really need to find what suits, but I like to recommend intermittent fasting for people who really need to lose weight, but that wouldn’t be for everyone.”

Intermittent fasting requires slimmers to eat every meal of their day within a certain time window and fast for the remaining hours.

Many people choose to eat within an eight-hour window, such as 12pm until 8pm, and will eat nothing after this time period.

Some might restrict how many calories they eat on certain days of the week instead and follow plans such as the 5:2 diet.

What should you eat?

Having helped whip a number of famous faces into shape, Simone revealed what she has found to be the best foods to eat for a healthy lifestyle.

She recommend eating natural foods and meals high in protein.

“Most of all you need to make sure you are eating real foods, whole foods, organic wherever possible and try to get in your protein,” Simone said.

“Lots of protein lots of veggies and if you’ve got something that you don’t know what it is on the label, if you don’t know the ingredients, then don’t eat it, because we should go back to the caveman era and eat real foods.

“Wherever you can opt to eat the real food or real protein rather than a bar.”

When starting the weight loss journey, slimmers should be prepared to change their whole lifestyle if they want to see lasting results.

Simone told Express.co.uk: “It has to be a lifestyle and so many people want the answer to a quick fix or fad diet or fad exercise.

“With diet, you can’t think one day ‘I’ll starve myself or do a juice cleanse’, that’s not going to work.

“You’ll put the weight straight back on again and you really have to make it part of your every day life, that’s really important. Even if it takes you a year to get to your ideal weight, that’s great.”

Simone De La Rue is a celebrity personal trainer based in the US who has recently opened her fitness studio, Body By Simone, in London which offers a number of fitness classes.

Another popular diet is the low-carb and high-fat keto diet which requires dieters to eat less than 25 grams of carbs a day.

Having two tablespoons of apple cider vinegar a day can also help boost results.
