Game of Thrones concluded with the end of season eight last month, with Sophie Turner’s character, Sansa Stark, ending up ruling the North while her brother Bran Stark ( played by Isaac Hempstead-Wright) sat on the Iron Throne. Having waved goodbye to the role which catapulted her to worldwide fame, Sophie, 23, looks to have her eye on her next big move. The intriguing potential opportunity presented itself after Boy George, 58, spoke out on who he would like to see play him in an upcoming biopic. “There’s been some really interesting suggestions,” he told Australian radio show Nova’s Fitzy and Wippa today.
“One of the most interesting suggestions was Sophie Turner.
“It’s really strange but that’s been a suggestion — I think — that will upset people, which I really like,” the Culture Club legend continued.
“’Oh, she can’t play you, she’s a woman.’
“But you know, when I was 17 I would have loved to have been her… that was the ambition,” he added.
After Boy George’s remarks hit the headlines, Sophie took to Twitter to share her response.
“I am SO down,” she wrote, in view of her 2.5 million followers.

Fans were delighted by the idea of Sophie playing the Culture Club star, with one commenting: “You would be great for that role!”

The biopic is set to be written and directed by Sacha Gervasi, 53, who is known for Hitchcock and My Dinner with Hervé.
Sophie is best known for playing Sansa since Game of Thrones first aired in 2011.
Meanwhile, Boy George, real name George Alan O’Dowd), said he’s not apprehensive about having his life story adapted for the big screen.
“In our game, there is always study that is written about you that is so ridiculous,” he told the station.
“I don’t mind it though, it makes me sound more interesting.
“‘He sleeps upside down on the roof, he only lives on lentils,’ that kind of stuff… I think it just makes a great picture.”
Boy George rose to fame with new wave band Culture Club in the 1980s.
In recent years, the pop icon has judged the Australian version of The Voice alongside Sophie’s husband Joe Jonas, 29.
