eBay’s entire site, including its search functioncrashed this morning.
Although it briefly recovered shortly before 8am, this popular auction site went down again only 15 minutes later.
The Down Detector website, a website which measures online service interruptions, said there was more than 7,000 outage reports between 7am and 8am.
eBay customers posted online about seeing a message that read: “It’s not you. It’s us.
“Our server is down, but we’ll have things back to normal soon.
“If you still need help, visit our help pages.”
Express.co.uk has contacted ebay for comment.
eBay’s issues appear to be affecting both Europe and Australia.
eBay users flooded forums and social media to complain about the outage with one complaining: “Got issues with eBay app and eBay website can’t load either”
Another user added: “I have a business and lots of parcels to ship out can’t do anything right now. Not good at all .”
One problem with the site going offline is it leaves many users unable to place bids on products just as auctions are coming to an end.
However eBay is no back up and running
An eBay spokesperson todl Express.co.uk: “eBay experienced technical difficulties for a short period today, where users may have temporarily had trouble accessing the site.
“The issue is now fully resolved. Apologies for any inconvenience.”
