Big Little Lies season two will begin today (Monday, June 10) on HBO.

HBO will air the premiere at 9pm on Sunday, June 9 in the US, as well as it being simulcast around the world.

UK viewers will be able to see it at 2am BST on Sky Atlantic.

If you don’t fancy staying awake until the early hours of the morning, the show will be repeated at 9pm the same day.

NOW TV subscribers will also be able to watch the show on demand after it’s been aired.

The episodes will then be shown weekly on HBO and Sky Atlantic.

How many episodes are in Big Little Lies season 2?

The second season of Big Little Lies will have seven episodes.

For the second series, she created a novella and creator David E Kelley worked to adapt it for the show.

Big Little Lies series two will pick up a few months after the events of the first series, which saw the death of a major character.

In season two we reunite with Celeste (played by Nicole Kidman), Madeline (Reese Witherspoon), Renata (Laura Dern), Bonnie (Zoë Kravitz) and Jane (Shailene Woodley) as they deal with the aftermath.

Meryl Steep also joins the cast as Mary Louise Wright, the mother of Alexander Skarsgård’s Perry in series two. 

She is keen to find out what happened with her son’s death when she moves into the town.
